Rosia Cottage is situated in an area of mining heritage.

Up a narrow country lane in a quiet location with only four detached properties at the top of the lane.  (The lower end of the lane does have a private housing estate either side)

The garden is secluded and not overlooked by anyone except the three pygmy goats, Twix, Twirl and Polo and our chickens - laying fresh free range eggs! (Be prepared to wake up to the sound of the countryside!)

Behind the cottage is William Shaft which was once the deepest shaft in Europe (until South Crofty sank a few fathoms deeper just before its closure).  South Crofty can be seen from one of the bedrooms, being the last working tin mine in Cornwall, until it's recent closure in the late 90's, although attempts are being made to re-open the mine. Old mine stacks from the Dolcoath mine can also be seen from the Cottage.

The sea on the north coast can be seen from one of the bedrooms.  The Cottage being situated in Camborne, is convenient to visit any part of Cornwall. The nearest beaches, Portreath, Gwithian, Godrevy are all only about 10 minutes drive away, being on the North Coast are ideal for the keen surfers.

The town centre is about a 10/15 minute walk away.

Tesco's supermarket is only a 2 minutes drive (10 minutes walk)

The Cornish Way (Route 3 cycle path) runs right through the land owned by Clive & Kathryn.  Absolutely perfect for the cycle enthusiast.  There is a safe and secure room to lock your bikes away at night, so why not bring your bikes with you and cycle around Cornwall, leaving your car behind at the accommodation.
